days of our lives actorsWhy does Days of our lives hire actors that will eventually leave once their contract expires?

It seems that the people Days hires only use the show to further their career, characters like Rex, Cassie, Chelsea, Max, Jeremy, Nick, Morgan and others I can't remember are only on the show until their contract expires and they just mess up the show. Atleast hire actors that want to be there for we could grow to love them like, Sami, Bo, Hope, Marlana, John, Maggie, Victor.......... Every time they bring in a new character I know that they will be gone in 5 years or something.
Because it's not the same soap as it once was & the same people aren't running the "show" anymore. Some people are stupid too. I..e. ALL the writers. I don't even know why I still watch this after 21 years. I agree there has been an influx of young & "rising" actorsdays of our lives actors over the last few years. You forgot about Shawn or Brandon Beemer too ! lol.

FYI if you remember Dr. Carly Manning from the 90's (she was engaged to Bo when Hope was thought to be dead) will return in October after GL goes off the air & Wally Kurth (who was on DOOL years ago as Adrienne's husband Justin) is returning to Days too.
yeah days is good at doing that they seem to get rid of the good ones and keep the ones that need to go
on the whole Young "newbies' cost Less Money than Vetern actors

that is why Days fired the actors who played marlena & john

some soap actors ( vets) are being asked to take 40- 60% paycuts
Because Ken Corday doesn't care about the show the way his parents did. Plain and simple. You can read interviews where he makes insensitivedays of our lives actors comments about past cast members, i.e. the people that played, steve, kayla, marlena, john, etc

excerpt from one of his interviews:
"for the ardent John and Marlena and Patch and Kayla fans, great, you can still see them at their luncheons. That was then, this is now." Corday says that the first time he visited his father at the ATWT studios, his father was going over the next day's show with the cast, and the cast would ask him how he could do certain things now when a month ago the show did something else. Corday says his father took a large crayon and wrote on the wall, "That was then, this is now."

....the man is disguisting.
